Old art time.

2006 to 2007: Attack of the long limbs.

All these limbs make me want to cry it’s like yaoi hand syndrome. Or yaoi body syndrome. Except my big inspiration during that time was Clamp(hence the long limbs, also Fantastic Children for the shit load of accessories). The only thing I’m proud of from this long limb phase was my diligence in detail(compared to now where I give up faster compared to last time), although I thought those shit loads of accessories and details were pretty bad until a few years later I’d be saying otherwise(I have). I still had the habit of drawing/doodling on lined paper though(I’d draw clean drawings on blank ones because I wanted them pretty and clean on blank paper).

The last image is from last month(somewhere in the 3rd week) acting as a comparison between 2006-2007 to 2013.

I still have shit colouring skills.

I haven’t uploaded anything for months because uni. The latest thing in my folder is from 11th April orz

Because of the long delay from trying to check if my computer’s clean(thanks to my parents’ laid back attitude towards having potentially dangerous viruses in their usb sticks, my computer’s still as clean and safe as ever btw), I sorta fell out of wanting to draw Kise(even though he’s precious bby).

And I’m very very late for Cat day(it’s already March aklsjhd) and extremely late for knee high socks day(which was… last year?).

Another rare fanart of utaites! This time Shoose(thanks to a certain video for giving me the push to draw him)! Debating whether to make it fuwa fuwa pink(because of the cute songs he sings) but I didn’t in the end(because reasons).

My sis gave me a..so so How to Draw Manga(from 2004, American published, I’m sure the artists involved have gotten a lot better now) for last xmas so I tried drawing the faces following the tutorials for shits and giggles. And then I drew my own version on the left because I have an ego to satisfy. I left out the two basic faces and I didn’t draw the crying expression for my own version because I’m really terribad at it but I’m working on it.

I started drawing hetalia characters again(because tempted from watching a gameplay of the fangame of hetaoni(lol fangame of a fangame)), and there’s an obvious contrast between the last fanart doodle I did of them(early 2010, now it’s early 2013).

This was drawn early 2009(I got into hetalia late 2008, when it was still rising from obscurity). I actually took time to make the bad phone res photos a bit clearer in photoshop instead of taking off the junk on my scanner and actually scanning the sketches, wow what is laziness.

I like how neat my old drawings were(when i sketch they come out neat, but now my sketches look like chicken scratch if I don’t draw out the prominent parts).

FINALLY FINISHED THE BIG ONE.

The bigger one was a real pain to cut(roughly less than 24 hours if excluding breaks and sleep). The sides are pinkish cause I used a pink marker to lineout the lines(geometry to the extreme on my part drawing and mapping lines that almost filled up the entire drawn circle) and it’s almost the same diameter as my hand(my hands are child small).

On the left were the first few I tried cutting out(and the cause of my papercraft cutting obsession for 3 consecutive days), the first one being the stainglass window, followed by the randomly designed frame(I never put thought into the theme of the frame, I just drew whatever I wanted), then the peanut shape on the lower right, followed by the octagon, then lastly the big ass one. Basically going from sorta simplistic design to full blown use of geometry in attempts to kill myself(but a challenge’s a challenge).

After that big one, I’m gonna stop cutting out complicated(and physically painful) designs for a while(maybe months later). My papercraft cutting craze is over now(thanks to the big one), and other things are being neglected thanks to it.

Gave a try at cutting out intricate details on paper, of course there are mistakes like accidentally cutting off one of the parts (hence one of the missing part in the middle of the circle for the stain glass window one). I had to patch a few mistakes up with tape orz. the second one was a bit harder(cause I’m an ass when it comes to killing myself with too much details).

I don’t know how hard will I flip if someone accidentally break off one of the thin parts(a part of me would die inside probably).

Aokise(Kise wears the glasses because you know, he’s a model, and walking in crowds when you’re famous and on a date with someone without a cover can spell interruption from his fans. And the scarf serves as covering half of his face)
